Asden House Dental Clinic are experienced in offering a range of solutions for cosmetic problems. Sometimes careful restoration of one or two teeth can transform a smile. When more problems exist a complete “Smile Design” treatments are used involving ceramic veneers or crowns. We always ensure that the shade, shape and size of your teeth are natural looking and are matched to your smile. We avoid the un- natural bright white shades that are favoured in the U.S.A.but will happily provide the shade that you request. The skill and dedication of the clinicians at Asden house Dental Clinic and collaboration with expert technicians ensures that you will receive treatment of the highest level.
Veneers are thin custom made laminates of tooth coloured material that cover the surface of your teeth to change their colour shape or position. Veneers are ideal for teeth that are too small or too big, have uneven surfaces, mottling or cracks, or can be used to close spaces or straighten teeth when orthodontics is not wanted. The outcome is a beautiful, durable, natural smile. Veneers require little and sometimes no reduction of tooth, thus little or no anaesthesic is required. Veneers are a popular solution for those seeking a perfect smile.
Most orthodontic problems are inherited. Examples are crowding, spacing ,extra or missing teeth and some jaw growth problems. Other malocclusions are acquired by thumb sucking, dental disease, accidents and the early or late loss of primary teeth. Crooked and crowded teeth are hard to clean and maintain. A bad bite can cause abnormal wear of tooth surfaces, difficulty in eating and speaking and extra stress on the supporting bone.
Straighter teeth are healthier teeth. When your bite is properly aligned and your teeth are straightened there are less gaps for food to get trapped into and plaque to build up thus minimizing the chances of tooth decay and periodontal disease.
At Asden House Dental Practice we offer our patients a number of orthodontic solutions that are ‘invisible’ yet very effective. They include fixed braces, clear braces and the Inman aligner. Ask your dentist which is the best for your teeth at your free consultation.
Implants have been used for many years to replace missing teeth. They are becoming increasingly popular and more affordable. Often, other than dentures, alternative treatments to replace missing teeth involve removing healthy tooth tissue and putting extra strain on teeth. Implants remove the need for this.
Implants can be used to replace one or more teeth and can be used in combination with dentures to improve their stability. Missing teeth or ill fitting dentures can affect our general health. With reduced chewing power you are not able to digest food properly, which can lead to digestive problems and the need for increased medication to help combat this. A solution could be to have either conventional implants or mini implants placed to fit to your existing denture.
When only two or three teeth are missing each tooth can be replaced with an implant, or alternatively a bridge can be constructed to fit over fewer implants.
When all your teeth are missing in one or both arches, several implants can be placed to support a full arch bridge, which is fixed in place, unlike a denture which has to be removed.
There are many different types of implant manufacturers. At Asden House Dental Clinic we only use established branded implants. Our conventional implants are either Nobel or Astra. If you would like a free consultation on the best way we can replace your missing teeth and alternative options please call reception and book an appointment.
